Maintaining healthy and soft hands is just as important as maintaining a healthy complexion. Following these tips can help to restore the youth and appearance of the delicate skin on your hands.

Keep them clean. Cleaning products, oil and grease can leave behind hard-to-remove residue and stains. Make a point of thoroughly scrubbing your hands each day, using a reliable cleansing soap. Use a small brush to reach under your fingernails if necessary.  To remove odor, rinse with lemon juice or lemon-scented soap.

Use moisturizer. Moisturizing helps to keep the skin on your hands supple. Use a moisturizing soap and apply lotion on your hands twice a day. You may want to apply a heavier cream at night for added hydration. Be on the lookout for our Restorsea Regenerating Hand Treatment coming out in 2014!

Get regular manicures. You don’t have to take a trip to the salon to keep up with your nail care. Simply trim and file your nails, push back cuticles, remove hangnails, and treat calluses or warts. Applying polish helps to prevent chips and cracks on the nails surface. Apply two coats or more, and touch the underside of each nail with polish for long-lasting and durable finish. Revlon Brilliant Strength Nail Enamel has a built-in protective base and top coat for added strength.

Wear gloves. Make sure to bundle up during colder seasons. Avoid unsightly and painful raw, dry hands by keeping them away from cold, dry air. Simple wool or synthetic gloves should do the trick, although mittens actually keep your hands warmer due to the fingers drawing heat from one other.
