Recently, an array of Kanebo Cosmetic products containing Rhododenol has been recalled from all Asian markets. Rhododenol is an ingredient used in many skincare products to brighten and lighten the skin. Consumers of these Rhododenol-based products have been reporting white blotches on their skin. Reportedly, the Philippines Food and Drug Authority have already banned any products containing Rhododenol from their market. Taiwan seems to be next.

The good news here is that Restorsea products such as our Reviving Cleanser and Renormalizing Serum contain the Songyi mushroom to lighten and brighten skin and NOT Rhododenol.

Patti was traveling through Asia and met a Singaporean-based ingredient supplier. She told him that she was looking for a natural and safe ingredient that provided the same benefits of Hydroquinone and Rhododenol. He sent Patti the Songyi Mushroom extract which is used in Asia as a natural and safe skin lightener. In fact, it is the active ingredient in India’s best-selling skin lightening bar soap. We put the ingredient in high dosage in our Reviving Cleanser and Renormalizing Serum.

Watch your dark spots fade away without all the effects of Rhododenol and Hydroquinone!
