Whether for business development, PR or Restorsea events, our founder and CEO, Patti, is always on the go. Just a few weeks ago, she flew to LA for our summer soiree (a blast!).
As any frequent flier knows, being in the air is very rough on your skin. Flying at high altitudes with recirculated air in a plane cabin is extremely drying and exposes your skin to stronger UV rays. Here are our tips for looking bright and refreshed right off the plane – a must when your busy schedule doesn’t allow you the luxury of a hotel break:
1. Before the flight, get a good night’s rest and drink plenty of fluids. Eating light can also help combat the bloat.
2. Generously apply and re-apply your serum and moisturizer and SPF. Your skin will thank you for the extra moisture and protection.
3. Stay hydrated throughout the trip. Flying rapidly sucks the moisture out of your skin.
4. If you have oily skin, it’s extra important to pack a cleanser or on-the-go towelettes. Oily skin tends to combat dryness by producing even more oil – increasing your risk of breaking out.
