The Importance of Clean Skin

Making sure your skin is sufficiently clean before applying your makeup/skincare products and before going to sleep plays a key role in healthy, glowing, and younger-looking skin. As Patti always says, “It’s so easy to get caught up with all these beauty products that sometimes we forget the simple things, like rinsing our face clean with water. Remember, you need a clean canvas to start painting.”

Depending on how you wash your face, your cleansing habits could be causing dry skin, irritation and breakouts. Here are the top dermatologist-approved tips for face washing:

  1. Restorsea Reviving CleanserUse a gentle cleanser. Cleansing should remove dirt, germs and excess oil, but anything too harsh will strip away moisture and irritate healthy cells. Our Restorsea Reviving Cleanser is gentle and sulfate free!
  2. Make sure you wash away makeup, sunscreen and sweat before you sleep. Patti states, “Most beauty products aren’t made for overnight wear and will wreak havoc if left on too long: mascara will dry out your lashes, eyeliner will smudge your under-eyes, and blush will clog your pores. Sleep should be restful, so be good to your skin, and give your face a break!”
  3. Stick to lukewarm water. Water that is too hot can overly dry out your skin.
