Fashion designer Erin Fetherston has debuted her whimsical and feminine fashion lines everywhere from Paris Haute Couture shows and New York Fashion Week, to a limited-time collection at Target. In the past, Erin has also worked on multi-media projects and creative consulting for Juicy Couture. We had the chance to talk with her about bridal beauty, her newest line, and teenage years.
Restorsea: Your ‘For The Bride’ collection is such a modern, sexy take on wedding attire. Do you have any secret skincare tips you can share for a perfect marital glow?
Erin: Make sure to stay hydrated and care for your skin in advance. The best bridal beauty look is a natural, make-up free complexion.
R: We’re right there with you, especially on the all-natural side. We’re also pretty big fans of your resort collections - what's your favorite place to get away?
E: Barbados, where I married my husband, Gabriel Saporta, over Memorial Day Weekend.
R: Congrats, and we’re sure you looked fantastic! Can you give us a hint about what can we expect in your upcoming S/S ‘14 collection?
E: I was inspired by my love of gardens. You can expect lots of floral inspired prints and textures, and rose garden colors with shades of wildflower inspired accents.
R: Totally seeing a pattern here. What’s something fans of your label would be surprised to find out?
E: I was a very sporty teenager; tennis, basketball, soccer. I was a girly jock.
R: Coming from the woman who once did a collection with Juicy Couture, that is hard to believe! Speaking of which, can we expect any other upcoming collaborations?
E: I'm currently collaborating with Cosabella on a collection of Bridal inspired lingerie for Spring 2014.
R: Sounds spicy. Now you’ve got the ceremony, the wedding night and the honeymoon covered!
