At what temperature should I store my creams?
Please store your Restorsea regimen in a cool, dry place. The products do not perform well under extreme heat (e.g. above 107.8 degrees Fahrenheit).
What sets Restorsea apart from other skin care products?
Restorsea is powered by a revolutionary blend of ingredients, our Vibransea™ complex. Anchored by our proprietary enzyme Aquabeautine XL®, this unique complex gently exfoliates to significantly improve skin’s tone, strength and elasticity – without harsh side effects.
How does your enzyme differ from Glycolic Acid?
Glycolic acid and retinoids are very small molecules. As a result, they travel through the five layers of skin reaching the dermis where the newborn skin is located, causing redness, flakiness, peeling and itching. In contrast, our enzyme is a large molecule. As a result, it rarely travels past the first layer of skin, which is composed of dead skin cells. The enzyme digests these dead skin cells and leaves the living skin cells intact. For more information and a great illustration of the comparison between our enzyme and glycolic acid, I encourage you to visit http://www.restorsea.com/what-is-restorsea (Aquabeautine XL® The Mechanism of Action).
Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?
We test on 200 people—4x more than the 50 required by law—in order to cover a broad range of skin types and colors. Our products are certified by a third party lab as hypoallergenic and suitable for even the most sensitive skin. However, if you use the products every day twice a day and are not completely delighted by the results, we have a money back guarantee. We will gladly refund your purchase price.
When can I expect to see results from my Restorsea products?
Use Restorsea twice daily, every day and see visibly improved skin in just 6 weeks. Best results are achieved after 12 weeks.
What can I expect from the day cream?
Restorsea's Rejuvenating Day Cream improves radiance, elasticity and smoothness. You can expect a lightweight, non-greasy texture.
What can I expect from the eye cream?
Restorsea's Revitalizing Eye Cream is clinically proven to reduce dark circles, puffiness and the appearance of fine lines.
Why do I feel warmth and tingling after applying the Eye Cream?
Our Revitalizing Eye Cream contains Hesperidin, a flavonoid derived from citrus fruits and added to increase circulation and reduce dark under-eye circles. The increased circulation in turn creates a warm, tingling sensation.
Why do I need a night cream?
Skin does the bulk of its repairing, restoring and regenerating as we sleep, so night creams are specifically formulated for skin recovery. The Restoring Night Cream provides intense hydration and anti-aging benefits, so you can wake up to the appearance of diminished lines and wrinkles and a radiant, glowing complexion.
What is a serum? Why should I use one?
Serums are very potent, specifically formulated to maximize penetration so the active ingredients in each product in your regimen can work most effectively.
What happens if I stop using Restorsea?
Your skin will return to its previous condition after about ten days.
Is Restorsea hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested?
Yes. Extensive independent clinical trials prove that our products are hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic. The Eye Cream is also ophthalmologist-tested and can be used by those who wear contact lenses and with hyper-sensitive skin.
Does Restorsea contain Parabens, Silicone, PEGs, Phthalates, or Mineral Oil?
No, Restorsea is proud to be an all-natural product.
Could Restorsea result in thinning of the skin?
Most enzymes, such as glycolic acid and Retin A, work by dissolving both dead and living skin cells, resulting in thinning skin. Our proprietary enzyme, Aquabeautine XL®, digests only dead skin cells, allowing living ones to thrive. As a result, Restorsea will not cause thinning of the skin or redness, flaking and sensitivity to light also frequently caused by other enzymes.
Why is there an air pocket in my jar of Restorsea Revitalizing Eye Cream?
Because of our formula’s chemistry, air bubbles are difficult to avoid during the packaging process. The air pocket does not mean you’ve received less product; it’s simply the way the product fills and settles in the jar. Please rest assured that you will always receive the amount of product promised, as we fill our jars based on weight, not volume.
Why does my Reviving Cleanser change colors?
Our proprietary enzyme is living (it doesn’t have a soul, but it is active). The formula hasn’t changed but the enzyme is changing.
As a result,
- When exposed to temperatures below 55 degrees, the cleanser becomes pearlized milky white. It changes back when exposed to a cool, dry place at room temperature.
- When exposed to heat or light, the cleanser becomes amber.
The efficacy is no way compromised. We tested all variations and there was no difference. Think of your skin/body when it is exposed to different environments and temperatures. It changes. And because our enzyme is living, it changes as well. The change is noticeable in the cleanser because it is not an emulsion system.
How should I travel with Restorsea?
If you travel with Restorsea, as with all toiletries, we suggest you place them in a zippered cosmetic case.
What makes the neck product different?
The neck product is formulated specifically to address the neck and decollatage area. The skin on your body is very different than the skin on your face. The neck and chest area has no muscle tone and very few sebaceous glands and the skin becomes thinner as we age. The Repairing Neck and Decollatage treatment is specifically designed to infuse the enzyme into this area and – if used every day, twice a day for six weeks – will result in firmer, more evenly toned skin.
How does the 24kt Liquid Gold Oil work??
We are fighting oil with oil. Washing out oil tricks the skin into believing it is dehydrated thereby causing it to produce even more oil.
How is the Restorsea PRO All Day Every Day Lotion 3X different than the Restorsea Renormalizing Serum and Rejuvenating Day Cream?
All Restorsea products are great. They are just different. The PRO line is for sale only through licensed MDs (primarily dermatologists and plastic surgeons). It differs from the Retail line in that all are completely different product formulations and most of the line contains a much higher percentage of our proprietary enzyme. The PRO Rebalancing Lotion is actually the Day Cream in lotion form. The All Day Every Day Lotion 3X is a new moisturizer system with 3X the amount of the enzyme. It is not better than the Day Cream or Serum. It’s just different.
I have Keratosis Pilaris. Would any of your products help with this condition?
Believe it or not, we have heard anecdotally that our Scalp Treatment helps with Keratosis Pilaris. One of our investors in fact uses this product to treat her Keratosis Pilaris. Because the proprietary enzyme in our Scalp Treatment unclogs hair follicles by digesting dead skin and cutting down on flakiness, it can also help reduce the appearance of the redness by reducing inflammation.
For the Revitalizing Scalp treatment, how does the enzyme that eats away dead skin cells differentiate between dead skin cells and hair?
The enzyme and other biological molecules are 3-dimensional structures. Think of your right hand fingertips touching your left hand fingertips (They are mirror images)... They match. Now, imagine curling your left index finger so that the right index fingertip cannot touch the left index fingertip. In such a situation, the connection is not complete. The Aquabeautine enzyme is 3-dimensionally specific and will be active when it comes in contact with skin cells at specific "sites." The hair shaft has a different structure that does not match the enzyme "sites" and therefore is not affected.
Can I wear makeup right after I apply the cream?
Sure! But your skin will be glowing so you may need less makeup.
How long are the travel sizes designed to last?
Our travel sizes are designed to last for 2 weeks assuming they are used twice a day every day.
How long does one container last?
Using the amounts we suggest in our application instructions, each container should last 6-8 weeks.
Can I put the eye cream on my eye lids?
We recommend that you avoid your eye lids; for best results, dab the cream beneath your eyes in a half-moon shape and smooth from inner to outer corners.
How do I apply a serum properly?
To maximize their efficacy, serum should be applied directly to clean skin morning and evening; it can be applied after toner. In the morning, follow with Rejuvenating Day Cream. In the evening, follow with Restoring Night Cream.
Can I use Restorsea if I wear contacts and have sensitive eyes?
Yes, Restorsea is ophthalmologist-tested and approved for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
Can I use Restorsea if I have acne-prone skin?
Our products are non-comedogenic. In fact, Restorsea founder and CEO Patti Pao suffered from cystic acne, and developed this line with her own experience in mind. Testimonials have also indicated that Restorsea can help minimize breakouts and reduce the appearance of acne scars. Read more here.
Can I use Restorsea products if I am currently prescribed on Accutane?
As our products do not exfoliate living skin cells, Restorsea should be safe to use with Accutane and may help minimize breakouts and reduce the appearance of scarring. However, as with all prescriptions, we strongly recommend that you consult your physician before using any skincare products.
Will Restorsea help my rosacea?
As we are not a drug product, we cannot claim that we reduce rosacea. Nonetheless, many customers have told us that Restorsea has drastically improved (even eradicated!) their rosacea. In a third party independent clinical study, 70% of participants reported more even skin tone after 12 weeks of use. See below for Julie’s Testimonial: "I gave the Restorsea cream to my friend to try. After day 2 (3 applications) she asked me if it's possible that it works on rosacea. She said she woke up that morning and noticed her rosacea had significantly and unexpectantly diminished”
Are Restorsea’s products safe to use during pregnancy?
We are proud that our products contain only naturally derived ingredients, void of PEGS, parabens, phthalates, silicone, or mineral oil. Many of our customers have reported using Restorsea during pregnancy.
What is the shelf life of Restorsea’s creams?
If unopened, our products last 4 years; opened, they retain effectiveness for 3 years.
If I am allergic to fish or shellfish, should I try your product?
We do not recommend it, as our natural enzymes are derived from salmon hatching fluids.
How do I use the scalp treatment?
Once a day, five times per week, apply four squirts directly onto the scalp: one in part, one on right side, one on left side, and one in back. You should experience less hair shedding, and fuller looking hair in 12 weeks.
How do I incorporate the 24kt Liquid Gold Oil into my skincare regime?
The most occlusive product should be applied last. This is why the serum goes on first, then the day cream/night cream, and then the oil. If the oil is put on first, it provides an occlusive barrier which prevents the penetration of other products.
Does Restorsea offer free shipping?
Restorsea is proud to offer free 2-day shipping to the continental US.

Of course not!
Are the salmon harmed in the extraction process of the enzyme?
No - we are fortunate to work with a highly-respected salmon farm in Norway, run by a veterinarian. Be assured that the salmon are completely unharmed.
My friend is a vegan. Can she use Restorsea?
It depends on her comfort level. Our Vibransea™ complex is fueled by an enzyme produced during the salmon hatching process, however the enzyme is filtered out of the hatching water before being added to our formulas.
